Collins l. Munyanda
Poet: Collins l. Munyanda.
-Zimbabwe-
Spew romantic men’s vanity putrid scents.
The future’s satisfaction keys warp disdainfully
as traditional loyalty’s honor cascade waywardly.
This is the life we have favored,
gullible souls sold to orient dragons
gold and prosperity traded for diurnal *pata-pata.
We recite pacific chopstick songs
tongues imbrued with innocent crimson blood.
Gleaming *machetes slaughter innocous citizenry.
Wanton cultures, genetically modified comestibles
counterfeit currency management,
prompted existence and hegemonic reverence
haunt a dead leaking basket.
We course through nugatory liberal roads,
arrogant imported roads to nihility,
devious countenances’ egos crippled.
Rain man’s circuitous eyes illuminate our dim pathways.
While we revel in tempestous celebrations,
we excell in cindering pedigree Family Trees.
Shadowy masters ensnare gullible souls.
One moment’s mediums-inspired meditative thoughts
burst ethreal sealed eternity doors open.
Yet we detoured, rebelliously intoxicated.
Vernomous thoughts we hosted,
deified immoral and tyrannical supremos.
When the wild beast revolted,
we worshipped Black Temples’ anarchist gods.
Gagged time lines relinquished sensous desires,
erstwhile sins became hot and sore.
The Universal Maker’s swift judgement
impaled us to the core.
