After the 2017 elections one would be convinced that UNITA would lead this year’s elections but it’s not the case.
Like many African countries redundant voters continue to fear change amidst constant fails and disruptive leadership.
Lack of employment and job opportunities could be the reason for youth to seek change but it’s not the case in some African countries.
During elections leaders come to visit, brainwash and are nice but after elections promises are shuttered and failures persist.
MPLA won the Angola elections with a 51% margin however UNITA refuse to accept the results.
Since 1975 MPLA lead Angola and it had lead ever since. President Joao Lorenço came in 2017 with elements of change and differential approach to leadership however the poor Angolan state still face lots of unemployment and poverty and lack of fair distribution of wealth.
Corruption that lived and existed is slowly being distorted and things are taking shape.
UNITA leader Costa Junior rejected the win and mentioned lack of confidence in the commission that made counting.
Turnouts of voters were low and was said to be 45.65 of registered voters.
President Joao Lorenço said he will enhance reforms as part of his efforts to improve Angola.
The people must know that without voting their voices cannot be heard.
Hence the regime shall be in the hands of those whom they dislike forever.
Voting is important.
