Biashara Sacco has released over Shs64. 8 Million to its members as dividend and interest.
The Sacco Chairman Joseph Njamuku said the payouts include 18 per cent dividend payments and 13 per cent interest on member’s deposits.
The Chairman who was speaking during this year’s Annual General Meeting held at ACK Cathedral hall in Nyeri town on Saturday said the payments will be paid to its 2,500 members.
The Sacco has 11 branches in Nyeri, Laikipia, Nakuru Kiambu, Nairobi, Embu and Kajiado counties.
“Our Sacco Agency increased from 70 Agents to 194 agents in 2021, a growth of 177 per cent,” said the chairman.
The Sacco’s assets base rose from Sh2.07 billion in 2021 representing 18.7 per cent growth.
“Our customer base also increased from 143,528 to 164,919 in 2021 (14.9 per cent growth).
Loan disbursement increased by 20 per cent growth,” he added.
Njamuku also revealed plans of increasing efficiency in the operations by installing three modern systems; an asset management system, a payroll management system and a cheque scanning system.
