confusion
By: N. George
Worth Noting:
- If you are a perfectionist it becomes difficult for those you are dealing with as some of them become aware that you are not contented with good or better results but the best. If they achieve the best compared to any other set of workers existing they are demanded to leave no room for imperfection which is theoretically possible but practically impossible.
- Those who believe and try to attain ideal standards at personal level blame themselves for failure to reach their target, live a frustrated life as they compete against their imaginations.
Love is an ideal thing, marriage a real thing; a confusion of the real with the ideal never goes unpunished…………….. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Every person is happy when he gets a good deal in life. Happiness in life is due to satisfaction which you get when your requirements are met.
Man is a social being he is curious what his neighbour is doing. He wants to interact with others, share ideas and benefit from such interactions.
There are two major planes in life which one can operate in namely creative and competitive. Those in creative plane do not worry whether the other people around them or those they have heard about doing a related project to what they have instead they chat their own way.
On the other hand those in competitive plane are active taking stock of what their neighbours are doing ready to be better than them. They try to borrow a leaf then innovate it to exceed the other person.
In the planning phase of any project we make assumptions for the best scenario possible in all the unclear areas. There are those who stick to these assumptions when it comes to the implementation phase. Several reasons are attributed to any variance between what is achieved compared to the imagined situation if all the factors have worked perfectly.
In leadership you can either do tasks yourself or allocate them to other people. Once you allocate to others you are left with responsibility of monitoring their progress to see whether they are implementing them as per your instructions.

Those who believe and try to attain ideal standards at personal level blame themselves for failure to reach their target, live a frustrated life as they compete against their imaginations.
Those who allocate tasks to others then pressure them to attain ideal standards are seen as terrorizers’ who are avoided at all costs making the relationship frosty with their juniors for failing to introduce new ideas as they fear their bosses could adopt these measures upgrading their standards then use them as yardstick to measure an unattainable achievements.
You should be appreciative of whatever is revealed to you. It is your achievement, as the days goes by try and improve it when you are unable to do so investigate to identify the impediments then deal with them so that next time you would perform better. Where possible seek for external support to help you to improve the processes.
Be your greatest cheerleader in life, remain positive aware that this is a culture which need to be cultivated. Not everyone has a similar way of thinking to yours. Do what is good let others be motivated by what you do to follow whatever your do. Be ready to follow others if they are doing better than you and are willing to support you to upgrade your current standards.
