Hello, darkness my friend
You know all of my pain
You know all of my secrets
I talk to you when I am lonely
You comfort me with the feel of your silence and smoothness
Darkness, my dearest friend
You give me a platform
You offer me a shoulder to lean on and cry it all out
You let me shine with silver tears, Rolling down my pretty face
Then you hide it for me, So that others do not see
You let me take the front seat,
You give me hope whenever you decide to shine less behind me.
