The Chinese calls the founder or Director of the company or group of companies a president which is more important title and formidable in all aspects when we look at the supervisor and the director of Mount Kenya times.
I met President Dan the midst of the year 2020, after I lost the most important person in my life who is my lovely dear grandmother.
I ran to writing and my book was publicized in Kenya and upon reading my interview with Mount Kenya times I definitely knew I will join the team.
We worked together from then.I had a project that mentored young writers on my Mulher forte African literature project, some came through my awards project, I saw President Dan give Abigail Phiri writing opportunity, from zimbabwe, also I saw him give Daniel Tusiimukye K’abaasa from Uganda, and Themba Mashobane, from South Africa who won his first journalism award through this newspaper few weeks ago.
My project of awards gained popularity throughout with his publicity and features in his newspaper.
Dan is not just helping young Africans get exposure his newspaper covers local content that tells life as it is in Kenya, from politics to education.
A very pleasant and touching experience to see a young person connect India, and the entire Africa through writing and we continue to be grateful for his passion and support.
The government and other stakeholders in Kenya need to applaud such young minds that elevate the name of the country in good deeds and raising the flag higher!
A warm birthday to the President Dan and his family.
