Digital Life vs Real Life

Brinda. D

Like a mirage, pleasure shines so bright

In the digital world, a fleeting sight

But in reality, it’s empty and bare

It all vanishes in thin air, leaving nothing

It makes us believe it’s real, a deceitful thrill

Pleasure in the digital world is short-lived

Fake and useless and  hollow

Many immersed, in this digital pleasure

Filtered smiles, and poses so fake

Can’t match the real personality,

All thrill vanishes, in mere seconds’ time

Leaving us with emptiness, and a hollow

Cherish real life, find true happiness and beauty

Digital happiness is short-lived, just a duty

It’s a mask that destroys genuineness and truth

Find pleasure in nature, in all its beauty

In the moonlight, on dewy grass

Take a deep breath, and let your spirit find pleasure

A genuine smile with humans, is a treasure

Find pleasure in pets, trees, and flowers

What a great contrast, between digital and real

One brings emptiness, the other brings happiness and cheer
