The way your relatives treat you depends on your father’s income
Your father’s wage decides your worth,
To those who claim the tie of birth.
But family built on coins alone
Will never feel like love, like home.
No dad’s money, no dad’s land?
Then even the men (husbands) won’t treat her
Like she matters.
A father’s income becomes a safeguard for girls—
Now I realize.
So let the false ones drift away;
Their loyalty was bought, not made to stay.
They were close to the few, both strong and kind—
Real love is rare and hard to find.
