Flowers are botanically important structures and essential source of food for many organisms. Research shows that most of food that humans eat comes from angiosperms, flowering plants. Some flowers are toxic to humans but majorly are important. Flowers also add colour to our ecosystem.
Besides food and adding colour to ecosystem flowers also act as medicinal to human body. It has an advantageous effect to human health. For example when Loved one is sick vibrant flowers are given to relieve anxiety and stress. To bring a happy mood. Scientific research suggests that having flowers around hospitals can help patients recover naturally.
As another advantage, on toxic flowers are used in manufacture of essential body oils, creams and serum for body care. These when applied to skin brings up the feeling of smoothness. They help cure skin diseases such as acne, dark spots on face and skin rushes.
Generally flowers are important in nature and help support our planets ecosystem. Scientists encourage people to practice growing flowers around their homes and premises. Government also should put more effort in supporting horticulture.
