The former DP hit out at the Meru County leaders for focusing on politics other than development and allowing the demotion and persecution of the region’s leaders.
He noted that the Chief Justice was being persecuted for her hard stand and warned that her removal from office will be met with picketing and demonstrations.
“If the scheme is successful, I want to tell the President not to dare set foot here in Meru,” he said to the applause of hundreds of the faithful who had attended the church service.
Further, he told the Meru community that they should be ready to defend one of their own by using means such as demonstrations.
On the ongoing purge of his allies from lucrative positions in Parliament, Gachagua who was accompanied by some of them criticised the Head of State for punishing the region despite their support in the 2022 General Election.
He also lashed out at the current Deputy President Kithure Kindiki for using public resources to mobilise and parade people in his Karen residence instead of focusing on ground development.
Revisiting the economic forum engagement the Kenya Kwanza government rode on during the campaign, the former deputy president has said that the government should be focusing on implementing the promises they pledged but instead are now having development consultations to ask for the challenges of the county.
He as well asked the leaders to talk about Miraa, water and other developments in the country while ensuring that all promises pledged are kept.

Gachagua’s sentiments immediately received criticism from various leaders and bloggers who told him to trend carefully on threats to the Head of State.
Among those who voiced their concerns were Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kipchumba Murkomen who wondered why the former DP was producing a tribal card in defending a public official.
Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek also hit out at the former DP saying he was trying to please the judiciary so that they would rule in his favour in the cases he has filed on his impeachment.
Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi termed the threats by his former ally as hot air adding that there is nothing he would do.
Lawyer Nelson Havi who is among those pushing for the CJ and the entire Supreme Court judges removal told Gachagua to leave the President in the initiative saying he should concentrate his energy on him as he was the mover of the scheme.
