Nyeri County Jubilee aspirants forum chairman Gachara Kamanga alias Anko G of Vision 2030 yesterday ditched the party and announced he would be contesting for the seat as an Independent candidate. Kamanga said he took the decision after consulting his supporters but didn’t indicate what led them to give him such counsel.
“After much consultation with my supporters and listening to the ground, I have decided to quit Jubilee Party and run for Nyeri Gubernatorial seat as an Independent candidate.
I will be on the ballot on 9th August, 2022 as an Independent Candidate,” he said.
The economist added, “The opinion of the electorates is very important because im vying to represent them. I’m giving Nyerians the opportunity to vote for the presidential candidate of their choice while still voting for me as their Governor”.
Kamanga who has promised to turn around the living standards of Nyerians further added, “I will be consulting my electorates even after they give me the mandate to lead them as Governor. Mungu mbele”.
