Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia yesterday led his county residents in commemorating the World Scouts Movement Founder’s Day celebrations at the Arboretum in Ol’Kalou.
Accompanied by his Deputy Governor Cecilia Mbuthia, Governor Kimemia interacted with scouts drawn from across the county as they celebrated Lord Baden Powell, the movement’s founder.
The governor, who is also Patron of the Scouts movement in the county assured the scouting fraternity in the county of his government’s continued support.
He also urged the youth to continue upholding peace and unity so as to set an example to the rest of the country.
Also present were County Executive Committee Members Stephen Njoroge and Daniel Wangenye as well as Nyandarua County Scouts Commissioner Lydia Wangechi among other guests.
