Ministry of Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi was in Nyeri County yesterday to drum up support for the Jubilee party candidates in the forthcoming General Election.
Ms Mwangangi pitched tent in the county where she implored upon the local electorate to support the tram nominated by the ruling party.
She met opinion leaders, women groups officials and some religious leaders where she articulated some of the President Uhuru Kenyatta achievements.
She called on the nearly 500,000 voters in the county to support those fronted by the Kenyatta administration party saying by doing so, they would be assured of continuity in development matters.
The CAS who was hosted by former area Women Representative Priscilla Nyokabi who is currently eying the Senatorial position further told the voters to support women who were seeking various positions as their gender was more particular on development and welfare of the society.
Others in the meeting included the Jubilee gubernatorial seat running mate Ms Elizabeth Wamuyu as well as the party’s Women Representative candidate Ms Njeri Njoori.
Dozens of those in attendance promised to support the Jubilee team.
