Huawei Brings New Wearables to Kenya, Blending Style and Smarts in Latest Tech Push

The official launch of Huawei's latest wearables in Kenya, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series and HUAWEI Band 10 at the company’s headquarters in Nairobi.

Huawei has officially launched its latest wearables in Kenya, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series and HUAWEI Band 10 , redefining what it means to live actively, fashionably, and intelligently in a digitally connected world. This launch follows the global debut in May and underscores the company’s commitment to Kenya’s fast-growing wellness and technology sectors.

“Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness, and we’re proud to bring global innovations like the WATCH FIT 4 and Band 10 to this market. These devices are slim, powerful, and smart, designed for both style-conscious individuals and serious fitness enthusiasts,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager, Huawei Kenya.

Staying true to Huawei’s “Fashion Active” philosophy, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 delivers bold aesthetics with practical innovation, weighing  27 grams, it comes equipped with a 400mAh battery offering up to 10 days of usage on a single charge. Its signature rectangular display remains intact, now housed in an even slimmer and more vibrant form factor.

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI Band 10 offers an ultra-lightweight form at just 15 grams, boasting a battery life of up to 14 days,  ideal for students, first-time fitness users, or anyone seeking a sleek, durable companion. Both devices support fast charging, reaching a full charge in 60 to 75 minutes. Band 10 comes packed with 14 days of usage per single charge, with a 5-minute charge offering 2 days of usage.

The wearables offer continuous heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, sleep insights, and 24/7 HRV (Heart Rate Variability) analysis, supporting a comprehensive picture of daily wellbeing.

“We are integrating AI more deeply into health tracking. This not only gives users real-time insights but also supports a more proactive approach to wellness, including emotional and cardiovascular health,” said Adam Lane, Policy and Partnerships Manager, Huawei Kenya.

The WATCH FIT 4 supports a full range of pro-level fitness tools, including dual-band GNSS tracking, offline topographic maps, barometric elevation, watersports route tracking, and freediving support up to 40 meters.

The company has also customized its wearable strategy for the Kenyan market by, tailoring workout modes to local activities such as running, cycling, and walking outdoors, and initiating exploratory partnerships with health tech startups and universities to explore regional data integration for public wellness research.

“We’ve taken a localized approach to ensure relevance and we want our wearables to be daily wellness companions for every Kenyan,” noted Wilfred Odera, Huawei Kenya, Marketing Manager while making the launch presentation.

Users can enjoy broad compatibility with both Android and iOS devices, and seamless pairing with the upgraded Huawei Health app, now featuring real-time health insights, personalized coaching, and smart control features.

The WATCH FIT 4 is priced at discounted price KES 19,999 from KES 21,999 and the Band 10 retails at KES 7,999 from KES 8,999 for the Aluminium Alloy case while plastic case available at KES 6,999 from 7,999. The price-points thus offer flagship-level features in highly accessible packages. The wearables are available at Huawei-partner retail stores, including Anisuma, Miniso, Phone Place, and other locations nationwide.

Huawei is also working with local retailers and telcos to offer installment plans, bundles, and seasonal promotions aimed at improving reach.

It also builds on the award-winning performance of the WATCH FIT 3, which earned honors such as the 2024 Good Design Award, and glowing reviews from BestBuy and Wareable.

The company has also announced plans through its Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) platform to collaborate with regional developers, health startups, and academic institutions, creating localized apps and digital wellness solutions to meet the unique needs of African users.
