Collaborative Poem by:

We lit the fire of freedom
From the assegai of our blood
The triad stones as thorepins
In between were branchlets and
Fagots of deathless hope,
The flame candy-kissing the dingy
Sky,
And the pot of brew, sputtering
With foregathered dreams
The lightning bolt of our freedom
Twigged in every direction,
Now floats on the red Nile
Uncircumcised hope brooding
With the same blood that once
Lit,
Now torturing, transmuting the
Flame into a blue sky,
Lingering in the vortex of time,
Is the cortex of life’s defunct
Vicissitudes,
A pomegranate of dwarfed hope,
And stunted aspirations.
Brewing is an untamed war,
The dream life triggers to the
Trush barrel,
In the only highway to Valhalla.
