In the age where the part and role of Women leadership is blooming, with Tanzania president Saluhu Hassan, US deputy president Kamala Harris among others; former Kigumo MP and Nairobi Metropolitan minister Hon Jamleck Kamau respected the power of feminine leadership by unveiling his Murang’a gubernatorial running mate, one Dr. Naomi Njeri Kagone.

In his media briefing statement quoted herein, Hon Jamleck appraises Dr Naomi Kagone a strong, wise, brave lady with impeccable leadership and scholarly achievements.
She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Kenyatta University and a Second Bachelors Degree in International Business Studies from USIU Kenya. She also has a Master of Science Degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Entrepreneurship, both from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
As part of her Doctorate Studies, she has several articles which have been published at the International Journal of Management and Business studies in which she highlights matters affecting youth enterprises especially on management and access to resources.

Dr. Naomi Kagone has a soft spot for Women in Business and Youth empowerment. She has supported Women and Youth groups in forums where they have received training on group formation, leadership and governance, group cohesion and management.
The workaholic woman has also assisted women to form cooperatives so as to pool resources and source for market for their products as they benefit from bargaining power. Dr.Naomi in Partnership with Absa Bank Kenya has trained women on access to finance and market, access to information and access to mentorship.
Her ladyship currently serves in a several Boards of Management in Education Institutions among them Kirinyaga University where she is a Council Member, Kiriaini mixed secondary as the Chairperson Board of Management and as a Patron of sponsored students committee in JKUAT. She also sits in the Joint management committee of JKUAT and Kiambu county where she has coordinated forums to train women, youth and PWDs on access to government procurement opportunities (AGPO).
As a Director of Brighter Future Initiative, she has been able to run mentorship programs for pre-high school teens and community programs that empower women on matters social economic development in partnership with organisations such as Mastercard foundation.
Dr Naomi strongly believes that you cannot separate politics and business. For businesses to thrive, there must be a conducive political environment that allows growth and development of businesses and therefore she is keen to position herself in decision making spaces where she can contributed and influence policy making as well as negotiate with leaders and institutions on creating and supporting businesses locally and nationally.
In the presence of his overjoyed supporters from all over Murang’a county, Dr. Kagone promised to be a strong pillar that will make Murang’a county stand strong, firm and flourish exemplarily in the Health, education, agribusiness, youth and women empowerment, talent development among other sectors in Hon Jamleck’s manifesto.
Dr Naomi Kagone hails from Mathioya Constituency in Kiru ward and Married in Kanyenyaini Kangema Constituency.
