Janvi the Indian poetry entrepreneur
Entrepreneurship as a business doctrine can even be applied in poetry. Indeed, this is exactly what Janvi is doing through her Blue Star publication. It is giving an opportunity for various poets and writers to publish their work of art. They are going beyond expectations to ensure the end product is pleasing to both the readers and writers. Also, it is constantly looking for competitive ways to best other publication houses offering the same services. Thus, having compiled an anthology with Blue Star publication myself titled “Legends” l am really aware what this publishing house is capable of. Consequently, it’s a true blessing that Janvi the brains behind this publication is also a writer, business aside. This makes her to have a deep understanding and appreciation of why it is important to publish for a writer because she has been in the same boat.
Please tell us your name and how your poetry journey started?
I am Janvi, a 20-year-old entrepreneur hailing from Delhi, India. My poetic journey commenced during my 12th grade. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from the University of Delhi. Over time, I’ve penned down more than a hundred poems, alongside crafting numerous short stories. My work has even found a place in the pages of ‘The Times of India’, the third largest English newspaper.
Beyond individual creations, I’ve co-authored over a hundred anthologies, and contributed to an international anthology titled “POTS OF INK”. As a Literary Captain in the ‘Army of Literary Warriors’ at Story Mirror, I’ve been instrumental in promoting literature.
To me, literature isn’t just words on paper; it’s my voice, my freedom. I believe in illuminating the minds of many through my written expressions. In a world that can sometimes seem dark and confining, I aspire to be like a beacon of light, casting away shadows with the power of my words. My contributions to the world of literature are ongoing projects, My PASSION PROJECT ie BLUE STAR PUBLICATION™ with the aim of leaving a lasting impact. As I see it, there’s a profound world waiting to be explored beneath the surface, much like a caged canary YEARNING for FREEDOM.

Yes, I have received several accolades for my work in poetry and literature.

– Published in “The Times of India”, the third largest English newspaper.
– Selected candidate of The Writer’s Search 2021 conducted by The Bard Chronicles.
– Shortlisted Runner Up of National Poetry Day Competition under Your Fire Magazine.
– Co-author of more than 100 anthologies and compiled More than 25 Books.

As a founder, my aspiration is to set a standard that empowers everyone, especially girls, to step out, work professionally, and find happiness in their endeavors. This drive to create positive change is my constant source of inspiration.
Where do you see your publication house in the future?
I envision our publication house as a leading force in the industry, known for its innovative content, influential authors, and widespread readership. We aim to continue expanding our reach globally while maintaining a commitment to quality and meaningful storytelling.
What problems have you faced in the publishing industry?
In the publishing industry, we’ve encountered challenges such as adapting to evolving digital formats, navigating distribution complexities, and ensuring sustainable revenue models. Additionally, establishing a strong brand presence amidst a competitive landscape has been a key focus. These experiences have encouraged us to innovate and find effective solutions.
Share one of the best book that you published and why that one in particular?
One of our standout publications is “Secret Santa,” which holds a special significance as it was the inaugural book of Blue Star Publication. This book has garnered global recognition, setting a strong foundation for our company. It’s a personal favorite because it represents the beginning of our journey and symbolizes the potential for growth and success in the industry. Additionally, the success of our first book has contributed significantly to establishing our reputation as a reputable publishing house, attracting both authors and readers alike.

Any word of advice to other individuals who would want to venture into poetry
For aspiring poets, I’d recommend:
- Read Widely: Immerse yourself in various styles and forms of poetry to understand different voices and techniques.
- Write Freely: Don’t hold back. Let your emotions and thoughts flow onto the page without self-criticism.
- Edit with Purpose: Refine your work, but also trust your unique voice. Don’t be afraid to take risks.
- Seek Feedback.
- Persist and Persevere: Embrace challenges and keep honing your craft.
