Residents of Kamahuha in Maragua, Murang’a County will have their primary school
Pupils given free food and sanitary towels if Gilbert Maina Muhia commonly known as Maina Baba is elected as the new Kamahuha Ward MCA in the August 9 polls.

According to Maina who is vying for the seat on Usawa Party, one elected, he will swiftly embark on initiating feeding programme for primary schools in the area and also provide sanitary towel to girl child so that the pupils can remain in schools to do their studies without interruptions.
He said since most of parts of Maragua including Kamahuha are semi-arid/hardship areas, most of the vulnerable pupils miss out classes due to hunger and inaccessible sanitary towels.
“Once I become MCA for this area I will strive to ensure our children are not driven out of classes due to hunger and lack of sanitary towels. After handling these issues, I now ensure all needy children get bursaries to help them realize their academic dreams, “Maina told supporters at Kahaini market yesterday.
He said he would empower his electorate through horticultural farming that favors the area.
“The issue of water scarcity in Kamahuha will be a thing of the past if you elect me,” Maina said.
