Fresh Produce Consortium of Kenya CEO Okisegere Ojepat

Kenya is fully compliant to global international trading standards. This is the message of The Chief Executive Officer of the Fresh Produce Consortium of Kenya Okisegere Ojepat.
He says, “Kenya has been keen in honouring rules and regulations that abide with Global International Standards. This has aided us to aid in the global international markets in respect to expanding our trade scope,” Mr Ojepat noted.
“Kenya is a sovereign country and we abide with plant protection and food safety standards to assure our Trading partners that the food we consume and export is safe for human consumption and to the environment.
Ojepat also called on the farmers to continue employing innovation, science and technology in a bid to expand their farming now that farming is the backbone of our economy.
“We are looking at diversification and also value addition of our products so that we can be better positioned to trade more.
“We want to look at diversification of markers and value addition,” he concluded.
