Part 2 of Deuteronomy 31 teachings
Day 1.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:18”Truly, my face will be turned away from them in that day, because of all the evil they have done in going after other gods.”

Our actions and behavior can make God to turn away from us. God has not stopped to turn away from all those who are not willing to do thing’s according to his way! Evil things can make God to turn away from us, so let’s learn to do good at all time’s before we could be forsaken by God in our lives!!!
Day 2.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:20 “For when I have taken them into the land named in my oath to their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey, and they have made themselves full of food and are fat, then they will be turned to other gods and will give them worship, no longer honoring me or keeping my agreement.”

God is faithful to keep the oath he has made with our forefathers! Once God has taken you to the promise land in your life, please:
- Turn away from him
- Don’t forsake his presence and to give him glory
- Learn to stay humble at all time’s
- Don’t worship gods of this world
- Keep your oaths at all time’s
God was aware that the children of Israel will worship gods and will no longer honor him once they have arrived in the promise land. So let’s learn to trust God even when things are not going well for us in this world. It’s our responsibility to keep the oath we have made with God at all time’s
Day 3.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:23 “Then he gave orders to Joshua, the son of Nun, saying to him, Be strong and take heart: for you are to go at the head of the children of Israel into the land which I made an oath to give them; and I will be with you.”

Joshua was given orders by God on what he should do in his leadership with the children of Israel. Even today, God still give his servants instructions on how they should lead his people. God will always be with those whom he appoints for leadership positions in this world. Once God makes you a leader. People will not succeed to remove you from leadership as you were not chosen by them, but God was the one who assigned the position of leadership for you.
Day 4.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:27 “For I have knowledge of your hard and uncontrolled hearts: even now, while I am still living, you will not be ruled by the Lord; how much less after my death?”

Moses knew that children of Israel had :
- Hard and uncontrolled heart’s. Even in our generation, we still have people who have chosen to have hard and uncontrolled heart’s. It’s so important that your heart should be obedient towards God word and to be willing to take God instructions without defense. To obey God is a choice, same it goes to disobey God is a choice. So, you can decide today to have obedient hearts when it comes to the thing’s of the spirit, child of God.
Day 5.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:29″For I am certain that after my death you will give yourselves up to sin, wandering from the way which I have given you; and evil will overtake you in the end, because you will do evil in the eyes of the Lord, moving him to wrath by the work of your hands.”

Before Moses could depart from this world, he was able to call out oversees and all those who were in authority. Moses was aware that after his death, some of his leaders will go back to sinful ways. It’s so significant we don’t allow evil to overtake us, and also we should not give ourselves to sinful ways. It’s a choice to go back to your old sinful ways after the Lord has delivered you from your past experiences of sin.
Day 6.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:8″It is the Lord who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not take away his help from you or give you up: so have no fear.”

Once God assures to be with you and to go ahead of you….
You need to trust him and depend upon what he said to you. God will always help those whom he is leading in this world!
Day 7.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:6″Be strong and take heart, and have no fear of them: for it is the Lord your God who is going with you; he will not take away his help from you.”

We serve a God who is capable to go with us through many things in this world. Even when we pass through moments that make us too full of fear…
God is still with us, and he will not forsake us!
Day 8.
Scripture reading:
Deuteronomy 31:7 “Then Moses sent for Joshua, and before the eyes of all Israel said to him, Be strong and take heart: for you are to go with this people into the land which the Lord, by his oath to their fathers, has given them; by your help they will take it for their heritage.”

Moses was able to encourage Joshua not to be afraid as he was about to take over from his leadership. Even you today, remember God is still with you, and he wants you not to be afraid of the challenges of this world.
