Kenya Kwanza Kisii Branch have urged politicians to conduct peaceful campaigns and shun divisive politics ahead of August poll.
Speaking at Riamo Bomachoge Chache during the campaign, Kisii gubernatorial candidate Ezekiel Machogu under United Democratic Alliance Party said that this is the time politicians are supposed to conduct peaceful election and desist from any formal of violence.
“Election will come and go, but brotherhood and sisterhood will remain the same” he said.
Mr Machogu said that politician should carry out mature politics devoid hatred.
The same sentiments were echoed by Ogamba Migosi who is deputizing Machogu asked politicians seeking elective positions to conduct their campaigns peacefully, to focus on their manifestos rather than divisive politics.
According to Migosi no need to cause violence, let every candidate be given a fair ground to sell their agendas rather than causing unnecessary chaos.
On his part, Kisii senatorial candidate Joash Maangi called on the electorates to only vote for politicians who have the people’s interest at heart.
Mr Maangi said that Kenya Kwanza Kisii Branch have virtues of leadership given a chance they will transform and improve economy of the county.
“This is a winning team, our track records speaks for it,” he said.
South Mugirango Mp Sylvanus Osoro told the leaders to desist from using youth to cause violence instead to focus on offering solutions to the country’s challenges citing unemployment.

They urged other politicians seeking for various seats to remain United and sell their agenda to the people, adding that confrontational politics should be shunned.
They pleaded to security officers to take action on whoever will be found culpable of making divisive or incitement remarks, whether through their active campaigns or through social media, risk prosecution.
The leaders also campaigned for presidential candidate Dr William Ruto vowed they are going to mobilize and ensure that he becomes the fifth president of the republic of Kenya.
