Kenyans need to embrace the Universal Health Coverage under the umbrella of NHIF by registering as NHIF members.
As the Swahili saying goes,” Akiba Haiozi”, UHC will provide affordable high quality health care to everyone. The little saves as low as 500 shillings can save a lifetime trouble.
Other countries have it going and are one of the mandatory requirements. People’s health is a key factor to the growth of economies as a healthy nation is a productive nation.
Imagine of an ugly case a patient is detained from hospital due to a small bill that can be easily paid hence accumulating huge amounts due to overstay.
Embracing UHC will eradicate poverty of dignity and to transform the country to a state where no Kenyan should be forced to choose medical bills and other essential needs for the sustainability goals of the vision 2030.
The coverage will reduce medical costs for Kenyans living with chronic diseases who fly overseas to look medication. An era which as a nation we have to forgo.
Let us all transform Kenya to a healthier country by enrolling to NHIF for quality health services.
