Kigumo MP Revolutionarises Reforms In The Public Servitude Sector

Yesterday marked the 3rd day of the exercise expected to finalise the fairest Kigumo Constituency NG-CDF bursary fund applications (and disbursement) to secondary and tertiary students.
It was only last week when Kigumo MP Joseph Munyoro led in disbursement of NG-CDF bursary cheques to thousands of parents of secondary school students.
The Kigumo D.C.C., Kigumo Sub county Education officials, Equity Bank’s Wings to Fly Programme’ directors and Principals of various schools were also in attendance, in the social event attended by a large multitude of parents and guardians.
In the exercise, most but only the truthfully needy applicants benefitted. No student from another constituency was amongst the beneficiaries. There was no case of multiple awarding to any applicant. That was unlike in the previous regimes’ similar protocols.

The office’s chairperson commented on strategies that the office put in place to ensure fair and justified bursary awarding.
“We ensured that the secondary school students’ parents come with photocopies of their national ID. The bursary committee then sorted the IDs to verify that indeed, their children are bonafide constituents. The valid and genuinely needy voters in the constituency were the first to benefit,” Ms. Jane Kang’ethe said.
The committee also checked attached copies of fee statements, alongside fee structures to one after another, to award bursaries according to individual applicant needs. Each bursary form also has a serial number that is given to the parents for easier follow up and auditing process.
“In the beginning of the year, the office sponsored at least 400 students to be first admitted in the new Kigumo Technical Training College in Muthithi Ward for a whole year, with a bursary of Ksh 8 million. It’s my objective to continue supporting and developing the education sector in our Sub County because I’m where I am today because I was given education.” the constituency manager, Mr. Martin Njoroge said.
He assured that the exercise was, and will continue to be free, fair, and transparent. No applicant was left out and nobody outside of the sub county benefitted through corruption or nepotistic tendencies.
The first term MP promised to support the education sector by giving out CDF funds to facilitate renovation of schools buildings and construction of new facilities like labs for the new CBC program needs. He encouraged the masses to continue supporting Dr. Ruto’s hustlers’ government.
“We’re very happy today because some of our children’s education fees burden has been lifted off our shoulders. At least now we’ll now enjoy sukuma-wiki with a little more cooking oil and spend more peaceful nights making good leaders like Mheshimiwa Munyoro!” A parent commented.
