Collarative Poem by:
Norman Mwale [The PenPusher]
Stephen Mupoto [Ngugi Wamkiri]
Lonely and blue
In those halcyon times,
Life was the African tulip,
Spiral galaxy spiraled out
From the old galaxy
And not these lonely and
Blue days
Where power is clamped in
Egoism.
The relay’s button, closed
Within bounds of
Inconspicuousness. Prorogued,
While the spiral galaxy’s
Dream elongated to incur
Like prichard vineyards,
Decked in the beauty of
Unfolding summer’s petals,
Blown and caressed by the
Thin sheets of silent winds
And broken into malleable dints,
Like a mellowed zipper,
That lies lonely,
In the avid blue skies!
