As Kenyans prepare to return to their destinations following the festive December holidays, the President of the Matatu Owners Association (MOA), Albert Karakacha, has issued an important message to all road users.
Recognizing the increased activity on the roads this week and next, Karakacha called on drivers, especially those operating public service vehicles, to exercise utmost caution during this busy travel period. He emphasized the critical role of responsible driving in ensuring the safety of passengers and other road users.
“Safety is paramount,” said Karakacha. “We urge all drivers to be vigilant, adhere to traffic regulations, and prioritize the well-being of their passengers. Letโs make every journey a safe one.”
In addition to his appeal for caution, the MOA President extended his warmest wishes to all Kenyans for a Happy and Prosperous New Year. He expressed optimism that 2025 would be a year of growth and unity for the country, encouraging everyone to approach it with hope and determination.
As the holiday season comes to a close, the reminder to prioritize road safety resonates with the shared goal of minimizing accidents and ensuring that everyone reaches their destinations safely. Let us all heed this call and make road safety a collective responsibility.
