TEENAGE LOVE AND POVERTY RUINING THE YOUTH IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS

The monster Love has become the talk of the day, and it is spitting bitterness all over the streets of the campus in Kenya. This is not the only matter raising eyebrows, but we also have poverty that is the secret card rendering students to crimes and minor activities other than Education which is driving their fate in doom.

Several narratives about University deaths among students, especially ladies, have raised alarm in the state. Unpleasant and sad headlines have been all over in media platforms. This comes after failure to meet conditions put across by one partner, who attracts conflict of interest and eventually death. The so-called sponsors are the Mastercard of all this. Winning campus ladies with cash and converting them into sex toys who think they are too expensive to be managed by their boyfriends.

Poverty is another servant that is driving the students to evoke evil . Through the security agencies, the mystery underworld along the streets of universities especially in Nairobi was unmasked where dozens of elderly and marginalized are subjected to robbery and violence by unruly students. During the past days, students in higher learning institutions were considered as great elements in the society, unlike now days when the public fears them as their animosity is beyond measure. A chilling revelation had it that most students are suffering just because we have delayed HELB loans and face little or no support from their guardians back at home.

This leaves me behind with one million dollar question unanswered and the government of Kenya in partnership with the university council should come up with possible ways to stop this motive in the country to save the generation of tomorrow that is determined by youths of today.
