A Mitumba sales representative from Maua market in Igembe south constituency Meru county is an overnight millionaire after he won KSh10 million in SportPesa’s Goal Rush.
Zaberio Mutura M’ikirima who was employed to sell clothes is 5th Winner of Ksh10 Million in SportPesa’s Goal Rush Game.
A wave of excitement swept through Maua town after Mutura was rewarded by sportpesa representatives who visited him to give a dummy cheque.
Mutura, a long-time SportPesa customer since 2014 said he has been playing consistently across different products on the platform.
“Over the years,I have won a few bonuses in the jackpot and goal rush but this time I have won a huge amount,” he said.
He said he has been playing goal rush for one year.
“I have close to winning after winning two games and missing the correct prediction by a whisker i have won Sh.10,000 and Sh.1000 on bonuses but today am happy am a winner of Sh.10 million. I’ve been with SportPesa for over ten years, and I always believed my day would come. I felt encouraged after I saw Boniface Kamau win Sh424 million in August and prayed God that I also win a huge amount,” he said.
“My friends at the market call me ‘One Million of Multibet’ because I love placing multibets hoping to win a million . But now that I’ve won Goal Rush, they’ll have to change it to Ten Million of Goal Rush”, he said.
Mutura said he got the news after he was called by a sportpesa representative while still sleeping early in the morning.
His victory has transformed his life overnight and his wife Dorothy could hardly believe as they shared his joy and gratitude.
“This is a blessing beyond words, our lives have completely changed, and I’m grateful for how SportPesa has made this possible for our family,” she said.
Asked about his plans with the winnings Mutuma says his top priority is his family, he plans to build a comfortable home for them and start his own business in Maua.
He said the win will not stop him from betting and he has placed his midweek jackpot bet prediction.
The celebration later continued as Zaberio’s colleagues and friends joined in dance and laughter, a fitting tribute to a man whose consistency and optimism finally paid off.
