With number of Ebola cases rising each and every day in Uganda, it’s high time the government of Kenya should step out and put more measures to ensure that the virus does not find its way into the country.
It has been noted that so far about 65 people have been affected by this virus in Uganda and 27 have even lost their lives while others are still in quarantine facilities.
Kenya and Uganda border is just a few kilometers from each other, through this fact, it’s not an option but it’s a true scenario that this virus can easily find its way into the country due to interactions that exists between these two countries.
Traders especially those in Kenya Uganda border do interact with their fellows from Uganda, same to fishermen in lake victoria who interact with their fellow from Uganda each and every day. This shows clear evidence on how easy this virus can find its way into Kenya.
For the country to be safe, its high time government should clearly step out and put strict measures especially in the border to help curb this virus from finding its route into the country.
Its high time Kenya Uganda border should be put into strict and 24 hour Ebola screening services to help ensure that those affected do not find their route into the country, Emergency service to deal with the virus should also be put in place for any emergency that may occur because of this virus.
