Due to the severe drought the northern part of Kenya is facing, the natives are dying of hunger. The prolonged drought has exposed their sources of livelihood to destruction; the animals are dying in large numbers and the remaining being less yielding or of no benefit at all.
The inhabitants should invest in disaster risk reduction and build an inclusive and sustainable food systems .I also urge them to acquire education in large numbers as it is the beast weapon against hunger.
Education acquisition means better opportunity and more access to income and food. Besides, the government and non-governmental organisations should play a pivotal role to curb the menace.
