My mother would leave the house in haste
I knew not what was the heist
Until I became one…
Now I know why my mother smiled
Every time she would find the house cleaned
Immaculate and sparking
Now I smile at my daughter
I can not say the house is always a mess
But I bet my mother’s mess was much light than mine
Every corner is securely plastered with my dirt
I can feel the speck of dirt whenever I leave in haste
I know my daughter won’t understand my heist
Yet deep down she cleans the mess
With a hope I won’t mess again
But tomorrow is nigh, mess is inevitable!
