Mudavadi: Must Walk Together In Realizing A Just, Equitable, And Prosperous Kenya For All

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has said he supports the signing of a joint framework agreement between Kenya Kwanza and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to resolve the social, economic and political challenges facing Kenya.
Mudavadi said for Kenya to realize the much-needed positive change, peace, unity and economic stability no Kenyan should be left behind.
He said while leaders may differ in ideologies when representing the interests of their political affiliations Kenya remains one.
Mudavadi noted that to build a united, secure and prosperous nation, leaders must work together since the driving factor for a shared common goal remains the vision for the future.
“I want to make it known that Musalia Mudavadi is at the core of what has happened today at KICC. Those spreading falsehoods, rumours and propaganda that Mudavadi did not attend the event, have no idea that Friday Morning I was at the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting and I rubber stamped the process. I am fully involved na kwa hii mpango mimi niko ndani, ndani, ndani kabisa.” noted Mudavadi.
“I have continuously advocated for unity of purpose, irrespective of our political affiliations and support base. We have to come and reason together as leaders for the common good of this country and its citizens.” added Mudavadi.
Mudavadi said no region should be left behind when the government is implementing its development agenda, emphasizing on equitable sharing of resources for every Kenyan to have a share of the national cake.
He stated that President William Ruto’s vision is focused on progress and concern for the people of Kenya urging Kenyans to support the governments transformative agenda.
“In leadership there are certain things you cannot fulfill or achieve alone. As government there are agendas that we must pull together with the opposition for us to succeed and for Kenyans to move forward a united people. This pact should be termed as a game changer since the opposition in their oversight role also need the government for certain aspects to move.” explained Mudavadi.
“We must support President Ruto to the hilt because we all want to see progress. This calls for a united team thus the reasoning behind Kenya Kwanza and ODM forging a new tomorrow.” he added.
Mudavadi noted that political differences as a result of various underlying factors should not be termed as enmity.
He said Kenyans should appreciate that under President Ruto’s administration after the 2022 elections, efforts have been made to bring all leaders on board and Friday’s signing of the new pact is a testimony towards achieving unity of purpose.
“How many leaders will call their bitter rivals for a dialogue after the polls? We have seen President Ruto unconditionally support Raila Odinga for the AU Chairmanship position and engaging him at home on various matters. They have shown Kenyans that they want to walk together and with all Kenyans.” stated Mudavadi.
“The aim is not to enrich individuals and share power. This notion and misconception should be condemned in the strongest terms. We as leaders under Ruto are looking on how we will fix our economy, work on our agriculture, education system, fix the health issues, secure our country and make sure all citizens live a decent and promising life.” said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi has hailed his famous “earthquake” of 23rd of January 2022 saying it is part of the hardest decisions he had to make with his ANC brigade but since then he has been vindicated after launching a calculative and strategic mission to disrupt the order of things in Kenya’s hegemonic electoral politics.
“On Sunday, January 23, 2022, I made the famous speech titled, ‘Tusindangayane’, and I referred to it as an earthquake. I have since been vindicated and we changed Kenya’s politics forever.” said Mudavadi in Malava.
“I give a lot of thought to the decisions I make. I always take a long-term view. I recall when we were in ODM together with Raila and Ruto then we went our ways but now the quest to make sure Kenya moves to the next level of prosperity has seen fate bring us together once again. Kwa hii siasa huwa naambia wenzangu ukitamka maneno, chunga sana maneno yako kwa sababu hapo mbele hujui mambo itakuwa aje.” noted Mudavadi.
“Watu walipiga kelele sana nilipoungana na mheshimiwa Ruto, wakaleta porojo, cheche na propaganda lakini mimi nilikuwa nimepima mahali Kenya inaenda na nikajua hii Kenya inahitaji Ruto.” added Mudavadi.
Mudavadi has called on the people of Malava and Western Kenya to remain forthright and support President Ruto saying he means well for all Kenyans.
“In 2022, I said we have to scatter them and then gather them. The time has come. When I said it is going to be painful before it gets better on the governments’ tough decisions in fixing the economy, now Kenyans are agreeing with me. Now, I want to tell you for free and in broad daylight that in 2027, nobody is going to beat President Ruto on the ballot.” said Mudavadi.
“I urge my people from Western Kenya that this time round let us be on one side of the political formation so that we move together and ensure that our numbers count so that we can also demand for our rightful share especially on matters development.” Mudavadi stated.
While acknowledging the cooperation between Kenya Kwanza and ODM, Mudavadi said his ANC Party walked ahead of the rest when it formalized its merger with UDA and now as negotiations continues, he said his supporters should remain steadfast as they are party to each and every step being made.
Mudavadi was speaking in Lugusi Boys School in Malava constituency, Kakamega County where he represented President Ruto, at a thanksgiving ceremony and handed over a 52-seater school bus to the management under the leadership of the School Principal Francis Silenje, as promised by the President during the burial of the area Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi.
“The government has set out an elaborate plan to continue supporting institutions of learning as we work towards ensuring every child has an equal opportunity and access to quality and progressive basic education.” he said.
“Key strategic support through co-curricular activities aimed at creating an enabling environment to complement the identification and nurturing of talent amongst the learners becomes a key ingredient in achieving the same.” he added.
