Nyeri County Women Rep Rahab Mukami yesterday paid a visit to Sabeke Horticulture Cooperative in Kieni West Sub County where she shared insights on how they can improve their income.
The MP who is seeking her second term under UDA sponsorship noted that agriculture sector is the backbone of an economy which provides the basic ingredients to mankind and now raw material for industrialisation.
“Healthy, sustainable and inclusive food systems are critical to achieve the country’s development goals,” she observed as she urged society members to embrace agriculture.
During the visit, she also visited shades that displayed various farm inputs from different companies.
Earlier, she attended Annual General Meeting of Nyeri town based Miariro Sacco.
