Ndaragwa youth benefit from Nyandarua County government amid pandemic

Staff from the Department of Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services interacting with youth from Central Empowerment Group in Central Ward, Ndaragwa Sub-County.
The 17-member group, which received soap-making equipment from Governor Francis Kimemia in Financial Year 2020/2021, excelled in the detergent industry at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It has since purchased a machine to manufacture bar soap, vastly enhancing its revenue base.
Its members, who harbor ambitions to become a Small Medium Enterprise, are now training other youth on soap making.
Governor Kimemia’s youth empowerment initiative has lifted several households across Nyandarua out of dehumanizing poverty.
