NEMA Kenya Shines at the 6th Africa Public Service Conference & Awards 2025

The Director General of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Dr. Mamo B. Mamo, continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership in environmental governance and sustainable development.
NEMA Kenya received continental recognition, clinching three prestigious awards at the 6th Africa Public Service Conference & Awards (APSCA 2025) held in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Authority was honored with:
Africa’s Best Environmental Agency of the Year Award,
Best Digital Transformation in Environment Regulatory Award, and for the second consecutive year, Dr. Mamo B. Mamo, CBS, was named Africa’s Best Environmental Agency CEO of the Year.
These accolades affirm NEMA’s commitment to environmental stewardship, innovation, and regulatory excellence across the continent.
