Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir urged private investors to actively participate in rapid industrialisation through infrastructure development, which will create job opportunities for youth. Chirchir emphasized, “With proper investment in infrastructure, the nation will not only build capacity within the engineering sector but also stimulate job creation, hence tackling the current leading menace within the country.” He stressed that industrialisation is essential for economic growth, stating, “It is clear that industrialisation is not merely an option but a necessity; hence our Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and Vision 2030 emphasise the importance of harnessing our human capital and industrial potential to drive economic recovery.”
Cabinet Secretary for Tourism Rebecca Miano is taken through architecture designs during an inspection tour of the Ronald Ngala Utalii College, Vipingo. She says the institution will be a centre of excellence for the hospitality sector in line with Vision 2030. The college will be a shot in the arm of the Blue Economy and Cruise Tourism, as it will offer specialised training, thus enhancing skill development and capacity building. “A lot of work has been done; so far the project is about 83 per cent complete,” said CS Miano, who was accompanied by the board members of the Tourism Fund.
Tatu City, a 5,000-acre mixed-use development with Special Economic Zone status, has opened its largest and most professionally equipped outdoor gym. The gym, which features advanced workout equipment, is open to the public free of charge. It caters to everyone from beginners to fitness enthusiasts and features a children’s play area with swings, slides, and climbing structures.

Mbadi has called on the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) to leverage on technology to boost their compliance in fund management and reunification of assets with beneficiaries. Mbadi said that the Kenyan government has been driving the digitalisation agenda, and the adoption of technology into the management of assets under UFAA will bring efficiency and optimise returns on the assets held by the authority. “The main objective of UFAA is to reunite the beneficiaries with the assets that were left behind by their loved ones, and your achievement and success are anchored on that,” highlighted Mbadi.
