Government relief food awaiting distribution to residents during the launch of the Drought Response Interventions initiative at Mryachakwe village. The government has stepped in to provide urgent relief to Kilifi County residents as the ongoing drought worsens, leaving thousands grappling with severe food and water shortages. The prolonged dry spell has crippled agricultural activities, particularly in the hardest-hit areas like Ganze, where families are struggling with the devastating effects of the drought. Led by Cabinet Secretary for Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) Beatrice Moe, the government launched the Drought Response Interventions initiative at Mryachakwe village, where 40,000 litres of water, 300 bags of rice, and 270 bags of beans were distributed to hundreds of affected residents in the area.
Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu have declared that the Mount Kenya region will support Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his bid for the presidency in 2027. Speaking during a fundraiser in Mwingi, they revealed that the Gikuyu, Embu, and Meru communities have been engaging in grassroots consultations to unite with the Kamba community in a broader alliance aimed at unseating President William Ruto.

Naomi Thuo, a practicing mechanic, works on a car at one of the garages in Naivasha town, breaking barriers in a sector majorly dominated by men. Mechanical skills are among the technical skills the government is promoting among the youth in Technical Training and Vocational Training institutions (TVETs) to bridge market skills gaps and create jobs for thousands of youths.
Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu and Narok North Member of Parliament Agnes Pareyio, during the Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Ole Ntimama secondary school in Narok North Sub County. Ntutu used the Mashujaa Day platform to highlight the key projects he has implemented in the county since he took office for his first term as a governor. Ntutu said so far, he has rolled out over 600 projects across the 30 wards that had been fully funded by the county government.
Among the completed projects are: water projects, maternity wings, administration blocks, computer laboratories, roads, bridges, classrooms, dormitories, and livestock sale yards that had been prioritised by residents in the public participation forums.
