Optiven Foundation chairman Mr George Wachiuri yesterday hosted United States of America based philanthropist, Pastor Kirk who is on a visit.
During a meeting at the Foundation offices at Absa Plaza in Nairobi, Mr Wachiuri praised the Pastor cum Bishop for his continued support to the underprivileged in the society.
“Dr Kirk who is a pastor and bishop has been on the forefront in supporting the Optiven vision of being the champions of social economic transformation and we can’t fail to see what the future holds,” Mr Wachiuri said after the meeting.
The foundation has over the years been involved in sponsoring bright and needy students’ access secondary and university education.
Recently, the foundation started a programme of sponsoring students pursuing various courses in TVET institutions across the country.
It gets its finances from a percentage of proceeds derived from Optiven Real Estate firm which deals with land sales and development and from well-wishers.
