By KNA
Felix Waweru, a 20-year-old entrepreneur in Laikipia County, is selling palm seeds as a massage tool for residents.
He believes that Palm seeds are a safer alternative to electrified body-relaxing machines, as they have grooves that can be rolled on any part of the body effortlessly and do not require a professional masseuse.
Waweru has been selling palm seeds for massage therapy for a year and has seen positive customer feedback due to the lack of underlying dangers and the ease of use.
The seeds are sourced from the Coast region, where palm trees are abundant.
He hopes to expand his business and stock palm seeds in supermarkets and other retail outlets.
Waweru has been able to sustain himself financially and encourage young people to be innovative and avoid drug and substance abuse.
He advises parents to promote hardworking children and not engage in illegal activities.
One customer, Jecinta Mwangi, loves using palm seeds for massage as they are cost-effective and rejuvenate the body and muscles.
Massage therapy, as per the Academy of Natural Therapy, dates back several centuries and is still used globally today.
Waweru’s business has been successful, and he hopes to continue promoting the benefits of massage therapy.
