Nairobi Woman Representative offers cots and rocking chairs to expectant mothers with August delivery dates

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has launched a baby cot giveaway targeting expectant mothers in the capital whose estimated delivery dates fall in August.
Passaris announced she will give away three baby cots and three rocking chairs to selected mothers-to-be as part of a personal initiative to celebrate and support women in the final stretch of pregnancy.
“Are you an expectant mum in Nairobi with an ETD in August? This one is for you!” she said.
To enter, expectant mothers are invited to send Passaris a direct message along with a photo of their baby bump. Eligibility requirements include being a registered voter in Nairobi, residing in the county, and having an estimated delivery date this month.
The initiative follows Passaris’ participation in the Mother and Baby Exhibition, where she purchased the cots earmarked for the giveaway. The exhibition, which brings together families, businesses and organisations in the maternal and child welfare space, is running at August 7th Memorial Park in Nairobi until August 16.
Passaris encouraged residents — particularly mothers and young families — to visit the exhibition and explore the products and services on offer.
“Send in your DM and good luck, Mama,” she added, wishing the hopeful recipients well as they prepare to welcome their newborns.
The giveaway underscores the importance of community support during pregnancy and early motherhood, and keeps maternal and child wellbeing firmly at the centre of Passaris’ public outreach in Nairobi.
