Politics in Kenya is at its peak as politicians are busy campaigning and selling their political agendas, what they should preach most should be peace in order for people to reach elections period in peace.
Some political leaders have been defecting from one coalition to another as per their choice. Since it’s their right of choice to do so, members of the public should stop talking bad about such like political leaders.
Various campaigns are being held in different places in the country by different politicians eyeing for different seats. These politicians should ensure that they conduct their campaigns in peace without attacking their opponents. They should tell members of the public their manifestos and agendas but not insulting their opponents.
Oflate youths have changed their ways, there is a great improvement in the way they act and behave in the places where rallies are being held. Some few months back some of them were lured by money to cause chaos in rallies but nowadays they have changed. They should continue like this because they are the future leaders, they need to act like role models to other members of the society.
Oflate , top government officials have been seen taking sides on the people they are supporting, though the act is not bad but as leaders in government ,they should not take side, it’s good for them to remain neutral. By remaining neutral enable them to act as good example to the society. It portrays how the government is practicing justice and fairness which embrace peace and unity in the country.
The country has been very peaceful and I urge politicians to continue being peaceful in all their political proceedings until we reach the elections period to avoid what happened back in 2007.A country with peace has a good political stability.
About Three weeks ago party nominations were conducted, even though for some political parties it was peaceful, but others were a bit chaotic. There should be an improvement on these to ensure that the general elections just to be held in August Nineth to be peaceful.
Independent Electoral and boundaries Commission should ensure that they maintain fairness and justice while they will be conducting elections. Security officers should prepare themselves on how they will maintain order and promote peace during elections period.
Politicians who like using illegal means like bribing voters should be warned against these acts early before general elections to ensure there is prevalence of peace. Lastly members of be country have a duty to promote peace. They should avoid causing chaos at campaign sites. Let’s promote peace to prevent the occurrence of violence.
