The country is at the peak of elections with less than a month to carry out the exercise. Various Candidates are campaigning all over the country airing their agenda. Media being the means of disseminating information to consumers.
The media is expected to work in a neutral. This means that media is not expected to be biased. It has to air put news to consumers without being biased in reporting.
Today as we are speaking, media has been taken up by politicians, in simple terms it is referred as Self-censorship. The way certain media outlet disseminate news to people during news hour, you can tell from the look, they support certain candidate. Today media outlets are at the forefront of promoting campaign for certain candidate.
Even the way news anchors and reporters present news, you will all know they are campaigning for a certain politician. The news is analysed deeply in favour of their candidate.
Media today has been taken up by politicians who are controlling it at large. A certain candidate can be interviewed more even than twice by various media outlets without favouring other aspirants.
