President Ruto Is Not Leaving Any Region Behind On Matters Of Development

The ongoing construction of 200km of Mau Mau road is a clear demonstration that President William Ruto is keeping his word.
This is in terms of rolling out mega development projects geared toward turning around the economic fortunes of Kenyan people in a big way. The President is not leaving any region behind.
Lately, we have seen him rolling out similar projects in other parts of the country.
Contrary to the impressions created by Dr Ruto’s critics, the work on these projects is ongoing and at advanced stage. Some of the projects are almost complete.
One can understand why the critics have resorted to misleading Kenyans. It is simply because their eyes are trained on 2027 polls.
They have however forgotten one thing. Today, they are dealing with Kenyans who are well informed. So, it is hard to sell lies to them and expect to get away with it. The work that the President has done can be seen, touched and felt.
The construction of Mau Mau road had been launched by former President Uhuru Kenyatta. Only a small section of it had been done when his second term in office came to an end.
I remember this was one of key projects contained in economic charter that the leaders from Mount Kenya region presented to Dr William Ruto, Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate, during 2022 electioneering period.
After receiving it, Dr Ruto minced no word in assuring his allies that this road will be constructed and completed within the timelines set out in contractual agreement.
However, the project stalled for sometimes and this was attributed to bad blood between President Ruto and then Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
It did not take long before this problem was sorted out.
It is worth to note that Mau Mau road connects four counties of Mount Kenya region, namely Kiambu, Muranga, Nyeri and Nyandarua.
The construction of this mega road has since resumed on full course.
The road is set to reduce travelling time, cost of transport and open/ expand other economic opportunities for the people of this vast region.
