Thiba dam

The president has always reiterated that farming is the solution to reducing the high standards of living in Kenya.
After he gave relief of fertilizer to Kenyans by reducing one bag of fertilizer from Ksh. 6500 to 3500.On his plan to reviving agriculture he stated that he will also provide extensional services to enable farmers use proper activities that will enhance productivity.
According to the data given by the president, about 2 million small scale farmers should be enabled to produce sufficiency.
Also he stated that climate change is a concern for all.
He urged Kenyans to at least plant 100 trees to secure the soil degradation and the environment for enough raining. If climate change is curbed consequently productivity will be profoundly enhanced.
Which made the president also to introduce again GMOs which is still under scrutiny towards its pros and cons? The opening of dams is another consideration to improve irrigation to where there is insufficient rain. While in Kirinyaga the president seeks to commission 1.56B for Thiba dam. He also repeated that he will not go back to subsidizing food but invest in production.
