President To Appoint The Members Of The IEBC Selection Panel Tomorrow

On Monday 5th August 2024, His Excellency the President is expected by law to appoint the members of the IEBC selection panel, who are in turn expect to commence the process of appointing IEBC commissioners and recommend them to the President within 90 days.
However, the process seems to have been thrown into confusion after their emerged cracks with respect to nominees from the Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC), pitting Ambassador Koki Muli on one side, and Dr Augustus Muli on the other side.
This is after Dr Augustus won elections in PPLC under the Azimio cluster, but Wiper and Azimio want to undemocratically swop him with Amb Koki Muli due to the 2/3 gender rule as provided in the elections Act.
To delve deeper into this topic; Justus Juma (Party Leader JFP) and Benedict Wachira (Secretary General of the Communist Party of Kenya) are willing to discuss this impasse on the morning show and the impact it has on the ongoing Gen Z demands given the planned demos slated for nane nane.
