Dental caries (caries dentalis) is one of the common diseases of the oral cavity is considered Caries is derived from the Latin word “caries” which means “to rot, decay” means. This disease can be dangerous in different degrees, but it can be prevented can be obtained and treated. Dental caries is the hard tissue of the tooth demineralization and decay, in which a cavity is formed in the tooth.

Tooth enamel pigmented yellowish-brown spots, bad breath, sweet, salty, bitter, accompanied by pain when eating cold or hot products.

The disease is one of the most common pathologies among the population. WHO according to statistics caries in different countries and among different races 80% to 98% occur in humans? For the last two years, children have been sick is becoming widespread, especially in economically underdeveloped countries the incidence of caries disease was observed in the resident population at different levels.

Dental caries is not an independent disease; this pathology is common in the body resulting from changes. For example, a decrease in local and general immunity, changes in the gastrointestinal system play an important role in the formation of caries. Currently, there are more than 400 theories explaining the cause of caries.

However, most theories state that when personal hygiene of the mouth is not followed, a coating forms on the tooth enamel and this coating leads to caries. Plaque develops as a result of not regularly cleaning the teeth or improper cleaning, especially in areas where the tooth edge of the teeth is rarely touched (sides of the teeth, wisdom teeth).

The tooth enamel firmly covers the tooth enamel layer and it has favorable conditions for bacteria (streptococcal flora). Mineral substances in saliva cause the coating to harden. Such a coating that forms on the teeth is called dental plaque.

Four different forms of caries depending on the depth of damage to the hard part of the tooth is separated. In the stage of carious spots, the color of the enamel layer of the tooth is dull.

There is no friction on the hard surface of the tooth, examination with a probe is less informative gives, no changes are observed in the solid layer at this stage.

Sometimes the stain may disappear on its own, the reason for which is not fully understood, But stomatologists believe that the activation of the human immune system causes the stain to disappear they claim that it will come.

Surface caries-a dark spot appears under the tooth enamel, instrumental it is possible to determine the softening of the enamel floor during the examination. Sometimes it’s on the shelf to see the beginning of the process of decay in all places of the enamel layer of the tooth possible.

However, these changes are observed only in the enamel floor itself caries-tooth enamel and damage to the dentine layer. Deep caries-all of the teeth damage to the tissues is a complete violation of the integrity of the tooth.

Usually patients suffer from pain in the area of dental caries, sweet, bitter, hot or cold they complain of increased pain when touching the products.
