A couple namely Stephen Omwoyo Otwori aged 49 yrs and wife Esther Omwoyo aged 40 yrs have been found dead in the bedroom of their house in Riamichoki sublocation , Ramasha location Kisii County.
It is alleged the couple, were quarrelling over the roast maize.
Confirming the incident, area Chief Tom Metobo , said that , the man was dangling from the roof of the house while the woman’s body lying on their bed.
Mr Metobo said that he got a report from the villager at around 1200 hrs.
According to the villagers, the couple had domestic wrangles.
According to, one of the daughter of the deceased, their parents on 23/6/2022 night they had wrangles over the roast of maize, that might lead to their death.
“I heard a noise from the kitchen, over a sudden , it was quite, I would not bother to go and check, we wake up in the morning as usual and went to school, we got information from the school, said the minor.
The cause of the death had not yet been confirmed.
Mr Metobo said that he reported the matter at Ramasha police station.
Police officers have launched the investigation over the matter.
Bodies of the deceased have been transferred to St Catherine Hospital Mortuary awaiting for autopsy.
