Education CS Prof George Magoha has told critics to keep off involving himself in politics.
This is after some politicians are alluding that CS Magoha is involved in politics.
Speaking at Kisii County in Nyaura primary school during the ground breaking of modern classroom , Magoha said that he took an oath to serve the public as a civil servant.
Prof Magoha said that, he has never involved himself in any politics apart from ensuring all is required to in smoothening learning of the schools.
“Let me caution those who are tainting my name to stop those are cheap politics , “he said .
The Cs cautioned teachers not to engage in politics while in active public service.
“Teachers must not express political views or use school resources or promote political view where they teach,”he said.
Prof Magoha asked teachers to shun partisan political activities instead to impart knowledge to the learners.
According to him teachers are barred from engaging in activities of any political party or candidate or acting as an agent of a political party or candidates in election.
However he asked to refrain from holding office in any political party and engaging in political neutrality of the office they hold.
He cautioned those who took cheap politics to taint his name to cease he is no longer involved in politics.
Prof Magoha said that implementation of competency based curriculum (CBC) in Kisii and Nyamira is 100% completed and told off some politicians who are criticizing it to stop rather than supporting it .
CS Interior Fred Matiang’i said that they are working hand vin hand with IEBC abd assured public of enough security during and after election.
