Jubilee Party Activation meeting in Othaya Constituency

The Jubilee Party has hit the ground running after it held its National Delegates Convention (NDC) on Saturday where they endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta

During the NDC, Jubilee Party members endorsed several changes in the party’s structure including new leaders and party symbols.

In the changes, founding Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju stepped down from the position and was replaced by Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni.

Speaking during the NDC the president termed politicians who chose to abandon Jubilee Party as untruthful and bitter self-seekers who unsuccessfully attempted to sabotage the ruling party from within.

“There are those who said they pulled out of the party because it was dead. When they could not explain why the work of nation building by the ruling party was going on even after their departure, they started saying they were removed from the party which is not true,” President Kenyatta said.

Othaya Member of Parliament Gichuki Mugambi who is seeking his second term and riding on his development record hosted the supporters and leaders led by the party Secretary General who is also the Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni, the party Director of Election and Kieni MP Kanini Kega and others leaders who included former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and MPs Kamau Mweha, Peter Kimari (Mathioya), Nduati Ngugi, Wambugu Ngunjiri (Nyeri Town) dozens of Members of County Assemblies among other leaders. The colourful meeting was held at Othaya CDF Hall in Othaya town.

Jubilee party leaders and hundreds of supporters during their meeting at Othaya CDF Hall in Othaya Town were entertained by musician John Njagi who hails from Othaya.
