Dozens of Darts players and fans thronged Othaya NG-CDF hall for a thrilling tournament that saw winners walk away with cash prizes.
More than 200 players, both men and women, took part in the two-day event that was sponsored by Othaya constituency Member of Parliament through a foundation; Wambugu Wainaina Foundation which is named after him.
Among those who won were; in men category, Nephat Muhinja, Wilson Kaimenyi, Peter Kihoro and Nathan Kiringa.
In the women category, winners included, Agnes Jerotich, Regina Nyaga, Ann Machira and Susan Wanja.
The participants were from different counties across the country, thereby making the event a national tournament, though the Othaya MP had organised just a way of engaging some of his constituents who have interest in the game.
One of the participants , David Munyua is among international players who is expected to represent Africa in the World Darts championship that will be hosted in Portsmouth England.
The culmination of the event saw scores of winners; from the top winner to number 32 take home cash prizes ranging from KSh30,000 to KSh1,000.

The Darts players from different parts of the country boosted the hospitality and other business sectors in Othaya town, with most hotel establishments recording full bookings.
One of the businessmen, Peter Mwangi thanked the MP for organising the event which he noted had ripple effects in the area’s economy.
Yesterday, the MP said he had lined up several youth activities that are aimed at helping youth identify different talents.
He noted that once the area stadium is constructed, the area will be hosting different games and tournaments since the facility is being rehabilitated to be able to cater to different indoor and open gaming activities.
