Nyeri County governor Ephraim Maina Kirinyaga yesterday met a section of bodaboda sector operators in his bid to consolidate his support for the gubernatorial seat ahead of the polls.
He engaged with the operators where they discussed the issues affecting the industry and practical solutions; introducing a fund for loans with no interest through the Saccos for Boda Boda operators, the youth and women that will relieve them from expensive daily loan repayments and enable boda boda riders to own their own motorcycles and save their income.
Others are having a training schools for boda boda riders and establishing centre for maintenance and repairs for Motor bikes in Nyeri.
The Senator was accompanied by among others Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru and his running mate Elizabeth Wamuyu.
